2008 Filmmaker Challenge
Horror Filmmaker Challenge:
The Final Minutes of a Slasher/Zombie Film.
This challenge is open to ALL filmmakers over the age of 18. The concept is simple. Create for us an original unique piece of filmmaking in either the Slasher or Zombie film sub genre. Pretend as if the previous hour and 15 minutes of the feature are lost and you have 5 minutes to convey your ending. The catch? Create an introduction/lead in up to 30 seconds long. This could be a missing film reel, a commercial, a horror host introduction, a movie preview, an animation, anything you feel would be entertaining and please be original!
Transition into the film itself and utilize a line of dialogue issued within the rules of the challenge. There are to be NO intro credits! Credits are to be used in the end. Films are to be no longer than 6 minutes. Must be complete original works. Follow the rules and all completed works will be screened at the 2008 Sacramento Horror Film Festival. Prizes will soon to be announced. Judging will be done by a panel of industry professionals. Download the PDF, follow the rules precisely, make your movie, and mail it in! Deadline is July 1st 2008.
